Ear swab were collected for direct microscopic examination and fungal culture. 244 patients clinically diagnosed proved by direct slide and culture treated with antifungal Tolnaftate and Clotrimazole and obtained good results nearby in comparing other results with recurrence rate total 5.32%.We found a safe method in treating the difficult cases of otomycosis when the mass of fungi was adherent to skin with presence of inflammation of skin around it by applying of antifungal mixed with steroid for 2 days then washing done easily to extract the mass from the external ear then use antifungal.
